It's easy to put down others when they have what we want. It's tempting to say someone is lucky rather than acknowledge their hard work. It's accepted for women to compete with other women rather than uplift and celebrate each other.

Conditioning in certain cultures dictates that single women past a certain age are spinsters, hags, cat ladies and other various sad cliches - while older men are labelled as (eligible) bachelors. Why is that? Is it perhaps because a strong, independent woman who has worked on herself is seen as a threat while being an emotionally immature man who refuses to improve himself is normal?

This isn't about labels and generalisation. This is about toxic mindsets that need to shift, especially when it comes to glamourising certain norms.

Like needing to be a fake version of yourself to attract the 'perfect' partner, like pretending to have the best relationship when actually it's superficial or empty, like the dog eat dog mentality of needing to jump on others to get ahead, like women putting other women down for their life choices when that's actually a projection of one's own fears and insecurities.

A new way forward requires a new way of being.

And it's time to take accountability for where your own mindset (whether subconsciously or not) has followed this. Where does this stem from? Is it from a childhood of being constantly put down and compared to others? Is it fear of being different so it's easier to conform? Is it from falling into toxic spirituality believing a 'twinflame' is with a 'third party' when the reality is you're fixated on someone who just doesn't want to be with you?

Awareness is the first step to change.

And the beautiful thing is you don't have to be this way anymore, you can CHOOSE to change - right here and right now. This message isn't one of judgement or shame. It's an opportunity to be better within ourselves, to wipe the slate clean, to start afresh and to lead by example. And this does mean seeing the truth of your ways, removing your mask, dropping the pretences, leaving behind what doesn't serve you or our world anymore and adopting a new way to move forward with authenticity, love and pure intentions ✨
